Joël Robuchon’s Brand across the Globe

After surprisingly retiring in 1995 Joël Robuchon came back on the worldwide stage with a bang in 2003 when L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon opened simultaneously in Paris and Tokyo. Joël Robuchon’s repeated travels to Japan and incursions into the Japanese culinary culture as well as his discovery of tapas bars in Spain gave him the inspiration to introduce his new vision of cooking.  This avant-garde concept, where customers eat at the counter while chefs prepare the food in the open kitchen, was disrupting the traditions of “La haute gastronomie”.

The success of L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Paris and Tokyo encouraged Joël Robuchon to open L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in other continents with openings in:  Las Vegas (2005), London and Hong Kong (2006), Taipei (2009), Paris (2010), Singapore (2011) Bangkok (2014). Each L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is unique in that the menu is adapted according to the country and its culinary traditions as well. There are currently 9 L’Ateliers in the world with a total of 11 Michelin stars.  New L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon will open in Shangai, New-York, Montreal, Mumbai, Geneva and Miami.

In all of his restaurants throughout the world, Joël Robuchon remains faithful to the standards that made him a standard in French Gastronomy; exceptional selection of products and simplicity in execution. Joël Robuchon and his team are still fully involved with new restaurant openings at all levels including conceptual planning, interior design and menu creation.
