With a diverse career spanning two decades, John Rivers parlayed his experience as president of a billion-dollar healthcare company to launching one of the fastest growing new restaurants in the southeast. The success and popularity of his Texas‐inspired 4Rivers Smokehouses, with five locations in Florida, has garnered notable recognition, along with invitations to cook at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City and four consecutive invitations to present at the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. Rivers has appeared on numerous television shows and been featured in Food&Wine.com, Cigar Aficionado, Restaurant Business, FOOD Magazine, Cooking Light Magazine, and Paula Deen Magazine. He was a finalist for the 2014 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. A graduate of Florida State University College of Business, Rivers serves on the boards of numerous school and community charitable organizations. He lives in Winter Park, Florida, with his wife Monica and two children, Jared and Cameron.
