Chef Israel Mora started his career in the restaurant industry in his native Spain, where he worked for a series of highly acclaimed establishments including the Michelin-starred El Poblet in Valencia. Upon moving to the U.S. in 2006, Israel spent several years honing his skills at restaurants across the country, including Aquaknox in The Venetian Hotel & Casino and the Picasso Restaurant at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, both in Las Vegas.

Most recently Chef Israel held the executive chef position at Mix South Beach in the Marlin Hotel, where he catered events for high profile guests like Stella McCartney and Valentino. Chef Israel held the sous chef post at Zuma Miami and later Lippi Miami under restaurateurs Arjun Waney and Tunu Puri before becoming the executive chef at Tamarina.

Tamarina specializes in coastal Italian Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on incorporating the highest quality ingredients into its dishes, whether it’s Branzino straight from Italy or the morning’s fresh catch from local waters. Anchored by its Crudo Bar boasting a selection of crustacean specialties, East & West Coast oysters and other small frutti di mare, the restaurant will also serve handmade pastas and panini elevated by premium meats and organic produce. A journey of the senses, Tamarina’s dishes are all prepared using traditional Italian techniques but presented in a modern, contemporary way fit for the sophisticated Miami palate.
